Corporate Representation

For many years, the USJBC operated as a CEO-level organization, with CEOs of member companies serving as official representatives of those companies, participants in USJBC meetings, and Board members of the USJBC.  Maintaining a high level of CEO participation in this day and age is increasingly difficult for a number of reasons.

The USJBC is now focused on getting senior operating executives with overall responsibility for international, Asian and Japanese operations (e.g. EVP or SVP, International or Asia-Pacific; President, International; President, Japan) directly engaged as official representatives and participants in the Annual US-Japan Business Conference.  Our agenda is being adjusted to allow opportunities for such executives to address operating and policy issues that affect their companies in Japan,  Asia, and the United States.

Executives and managers at lower levels (e.g. VP or Director, Corporate, International or Government Affairs) support these executives, serve as the primary liaison with the USJBC, and participate directly in Joint Staff meetings and Working Groups in order to advance issues of specific interest to their companies.
