Chairman: Jean-Luc Butel, Executive Vice President and Group President, International, Medtronic Inc. Mr. Butel is a member of Medtronic’s Executive Committee and has primary operating and strategic responsibility for all international operations, including Japan. Prior to assuming his current position in March 2008, Mr. Butel headed Medtronic’s Asia-Pacific operations while based in Tokyo.
Vice Chairman: Alex Gorsky, Worldwide Chairman, Medical Devices and Diagnostics, Johnson & Johnson. Mr. Gorsky is a member of J&J’s Executive Committee, with global responsibility for all medical device and diagnostic companies and operations that are part of J&J. Prior to assuming his current position in January 2009, Mr. Gorsky was Company Group Chairman and Worldwide Franchise Chairman for ETHICON and a member of the Surgical Care Group Operating Committee.

Ali M. Bahaj, Chairman, Caterpillar Japan Ltd. As Chairman, Mr. Bahaj has strategic and operating responsibility for Caterpillar Japan, including the Hydraulic Excavator Design Center in Akashi, manufacturing operations in Akashi and Sagami, and domestic sales and marketing. Mr. Bahaj is also responsible for integrating Caterpillar Japan into Caterpillar’s global operations. Mr. Bahaj is a Vice President and Officer of Caterpillar Inc.
Yoshiaki Fujimori, President and CEO, GE Japan Ltd. Mr. Fujimori has strategic and operating responsibility for all GE operations in Japan. He is also a Senior Vice President and member of the Corporate Executive Council of GE. Previously, Mr. Fujimori was Chairman, President and CEO of General Electric Japan and President and CEO of GE Money Asia. Since starting his GE career in 1986, Mr. Fujimori has held management positions in Japan, Asia and the United States in various GE businesses, including medical equipment and financial services.
Charles D. Lake II, Chairman, Aflac Japan. Mr. Lake has been Chairman of Aflac Japan since July 2008. Previously he was Vice Chairman, President from January 2003 to March 2005, and Deputy President from July 2001 to December 2002. He is a member of the senior management team of Aflac. Before joining Aflac, Mr. Lake practiced law in Washington, DC, and from 1990-1994 served in the Office of the US Trade Representative, including as Director of Japan Affairs and special counsel. Mr. Lake is a director on the board of the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) and president emeritus of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan.
Alfonso “Chito” Zulueta, President and General Manager, Lilly Japan. In addition to holding operating and strategic responsibility for Lilly Japan, Mr. Zulueta is a member of Lilly’s Senior Management Council. Before assuming his current post in July 2008, Mr. Zulueta was president of Asian operations, based in Singapore. Previously he held senior marketing and management positions in Asia and the United States.
