Based in Washington, D.C., the USJBC is the premier US-based business organization promoting US economic interests in Japan. The USJBC’s core mission is to support U.S. business interests in Japan and foster stronger business relations between the United States and Japan. The USJBC does this by working independently and with a Japanese counterpart group to:
- Advocate economic and regulatory policies that improve the Japanese business environment for US companies competing in Japan and to further US-Japan economic relations.
- Provide opportunities for networking, dialogue and collaboration with Japanese companies to promote mutual business and policy interests.
The USJBC is currently focused on a “Business Environment” agenda to improve trade, investment, regulatory, IP, labor, tax, and financial policies in both countries, and a “Business Innovation and Opportunity” agenda to find ways US and Japanese companies can work together to promote new opportunities in Japan, the US, and Asia-Pacific in key industries such as health care, energy/environment, ICT, and others.
